Pickleball
Pickleball is unique in that it is fun, fast and easy to pick up. Social sessions are inclusive where everyone helps in developing skills in a fun environment.
Our Competition Nights are a ‘ladder competition’ where courts are graded. Each week, 5 people will be allocated to each court. You will play 1 match with each player. Scores are recorded at the end of each match. The two players who score the most points will move up a court and the two players who score the least amount of points will move down a court. This ensures that new players can feel comfortable with players of similar ability but also have the chance to move up and play more developed players.
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton and table tennis. It is quirky, fun, and very addictive. Sessions and competitions run at the below times. Numbers are strictly capped so please book early to ensure you don’t miss out.

Monday Night
Time: 5:15pm – 6:30pm
Cost: $10 per session
Tuesday Night
Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm AND 7:00pm – 8:30pm
Friday Morning
Time: 9:00am – 11:00am
Cost: $12 per session
Friday Afternoon (Juniors)
Time: 4:00pm – 5:00pm (Cost: $10 per session)
Monday Night
Time: 6:30pm – 8:00pm (approx)
Cost: $15 per session (Up front cost for the Term eg: 10 weeks $150)
Wednesday Night
Skills & Drills Session
Time: 5:30pm – 6:30pm (approx)
Cost: $10 per session
Intermediate to Advanced MATCH PLAY
6.30pm – 8.00pm (approx)
Cost: $12 per session
Bar Beach All Sports is an Official Club Offiliate of the National Pickleball League
This means that the following benefits will be passed on to Bar Beach All Sports members and patrons. This affiliation allows:
– Bar Beach All Sports to host the Newcastle Regional Championships with the next event coming in August!
– Early access to NPL Social Leagues
– Early access to NPL tournaments
– Players to enter the #1 Professional Teams tournament in Australia – NPL Season 2 (August 2024) with $100,000 in Prize Money.

Pickleball Coaching
We are very excited to offer Pickleball coaching at Bar Beach.
Private sessions, semi-private and small groups available. Each session will be run by a qualified coach who will work on technique and skill development followed by match play and incorporating your new skills. Every school holidays we also run Adult Coaching and Kids Clinics
